five question friday!!!

1. Is there something you've always wanted to try but just can't muster up the courage to actually do yet? a brazilian wax. i mean i wax everything else! when i was pregnant the lady that does my waxing at the nail shop would always tell me i should get one, because "you to pregnant to wax. cant reach" lol and that "the dr will be happier". but i told her if she wanted to wax down there she had to buy me dinner and a movie first. lol!!!

2. If you had $100 handed to you in cash without your significant other knowing about it, what would you spend it on? most likely baby stuff! or maybe the most expensive pedi on the menu. I'm all about the basic manicure, but i go all out when it comes to my feet.

3. What was your favorite piece of playground equipment as a child? gotta go with the monkey bars. i would hang up side down by my knees , and try to do flips off. i swore i was Dominique Dawes. :p

4. Do you prefer a sweet or hearty breakfast? i'd say hearty. 9 times out of 10, i'll take bacon eggs and sausage. i have to be in the mood for ihop!

5. Are you a Neat Freak or a Messy Bessy? Sean is probably screaming as he reads this MESSY BESSY!!!! i try to be neat and organized. i really do, but some how by Thursday it looks like a texas twister rolled through. and we clean it all up on Friday, but low and behold its back again!

my baby is officially rolling both ways. Belly to tummy and tummy to belly. At first i though it was a fluke but nope, she was ROLLING!!! ( with my forrest gump accent) She has also found her feet. No matter what this little girl is doing there is at least one foot involved. Lately she also seemed to discover that she can kick the toys in her bouncy chair, which is hilarious to her.
Other new discoveries... her voice she has definitely learned that she can use her voice in multiple ways. And when she is being ignored, will let out a loud yell that sounds alot like "yeah!" What a great first word. not mama or dada but yeah... another sign of the attitude to come. lol

Its so hard to believe our little girl is getting so big. She is such a blessing to our lives.

NOPE!!! im an HTC girl!

2. What is your fondest memory of K-3rd grade?
Winning the jump rope contest on field day in 2nd grade! I was sooooo proud

3. What makes you cringe at the thought of touching?
mold on trees or wall... it literally makes my skin crawl. or seeing a bunch of bugs crawl

4. If you could have any celebrity show up on your doorstep who would it be and why?
Dr. Avery from Greys Anatomy... Dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmn

Wishful Wednesday ...Bedroom

'I wish' .... I could come home to

I mean nice plush bedding... hot tub..... fire place.....

who could ask for anything more.

if i could really be picky this room would be in a lovely beach house on a private beach in st johns, or Lake Nac... yes sfa folks i said nacogdoches. something about small town life that i find charming. not all the hussle and bussle of the city

My First Mothersday!!!

What a difference a year makes!

Last year on mothers day i was 6 weeks preggo

and super excited of the year to come.

This year ....

i was an official mommy!!!

what an awesome day we had especially with the other new mommies in my family

by the way... i got 3 pretty snazzy mothers day gifts from the hubby....

Five Question Friday

1. Take your pick...date night, girls night out, or night out alone?
It really depends on the day. some days i wanna go out with the hubby, or my girls, but for the most part im a home body. A night out alone for me would mean going for a mani pedi and some shopping. which means i'd still be back be 8 or 9

2. Can you touch your nose with your tongue?
nope. not sure i

3. What is your favorite flower and why?
The sunflower. Im not really sure why but i have loved them since i was a child. something about that huge golden flower that brightened my day! Im also a sucker for tulips

4. If you could go back in time, what advice would you give yourself?
wow... thats a super hard one. I would say never love someone so much that you loose yourself

5. If you won the lottery, what is the very first thing you would do?
pay off my credit cards and student loan, buy a new house, pay for lani's college tuition, pay off our new car and the acrua... go on a nice long Caribbean vacation... and most of all quit working to become a stay at home mom

so thursday lani turned 4 months !!!!

its so hard to believe that its been that long!

UPDATES:

~she loves talking to that funny baby in the mirror

~ she likes to hold on to her bottle when you feed her and thinks its hilarious to push it in and out while you're feeding her.

~she knows her bottle

~She will fuss when you take something away from her

~As of today she will sit up in mommy's lap on her own, instead of me propping her up

~Her 3 month clothes are still big on her, but the rolls are definitely kicking in

~ She is currently eating 5 ounces and we are back to similac advanced. The soy actually made her more constipated

~We started her on assisted sitter baby foods on Easter. She is currently eating bananas, apples, and prunes. I think we will try peaches this week!

~She enjoys playing in the bath and splashing water

~Her babbling is starting to sound more conversational, and i'm pretty sure the friday before mothers day her crying sound like "maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa maaaaaaaaaaaaaa" (But that could just be wishful thinking)

~Both she and mommy have 14 days of school left and are counting down to summer vacation.

~She seems to think she is supposed to stand up all day

~Mommy is still the funniest person in the world

Where Oh Where Have the Harris' been?

Well as many of you know we have been a little technologically challenged over the past few months. My parents had been generously allowing us to use their laptop, but as my mom has began a new business venture, we had to return the computer. We bought a new computer today with windows 7 might i add. it also has a web cam which makes me super excited, so there should be some great postings coming soon!
