5 question friday!!!!

1. Do you apologize to your kids? yes! but since VS is only 16 months, it's pretty much limited to "mommy sorry" for bumping into her when she is following right behind me.  Followed by an "I'll kiss it better"

2. What color are your nails right now? French manicure. mainly because i never have time to paint them, and you cant tell when they grow out! 

3. When you were growing up, how difficult was it for you to stay home from school sick? (As in, did you have to vomit or just say "I don't feel good".) Very!!! my dad would tell me to "take a shower and you'll feel better." when that didnt work he would say "go to school and if you still feel bad, call me".  Then i would go to the nurse and call home, and the response was, "well the day is almost over, you might as well finish it." 
 I remember the nurse at RHS just letting me come and sleep in her office all the time because she knew my parents weren't coming to get me anyway

4. When is the last time you bought a new comforter for your bed? Over spring break.  Anna's Linens what what!!!!  super comfy and soft

16 and couting!!!

So hard for me to believe my baby doll is 16 months old.  I know i say it every month but its soooooo true. Each day she does or says something new and it never ceases to amaze me how much she has changed over the last year and a half. I even caught myself getting  little teary eyed watching her sleep today in her big girl pjs and in her own crib.  As many of you know our house was broken in last year,  on what was supposed to be Lani's first night in her room.  After that the slightest idea of her sleeping in her room caused major anxiety for both her and I. I have to admit though, its nice to have our room back, she was starting to take over...lol...

Sorry for the tangent, back to the update.  Things are going well.  Lani is obsessed with bubbles.  She recently began her my baby can read books, and can read the words "arm" and "hi".  pretty cool. (note: i have always been super skepitcal of MBCR but it seems to be working and she LOVES the videos).

She is talking up a storm and has developed a few 2 word phrases as well.  Her current vocab consists of:
"is ha"~ its hot
"who dat" (whenever  the phone rings)
"mommy" ~ finally i almost did a blog on just this!!!!
"sah"~ sock
"shuse"~ shoes
"ba ba" ~ she gets upset when she gets the sippy cup instead
"pappy" ~ pacifier
"hi"~ very long and drawn out
"shishy" ~ goldfish snack
"coco" ~ Miss Courtney her teacher
"me-mo" ~ elmo
She also repeats alot of words now!!! So i'm sure the vocab is definitely going to be improving soon.

She has to have sleepy bear to go to sleep
She is constantly turning the tv off and on
She loves loves loves sesame street
Wearing size 4 diapers at night
Starting taking her allergy meds straight, instead of in her bottle.  Seems to help some.

Whit's going away party~

Sometimes in life you meet people and it seems like you've known them a lifetime.  

Whit has definitely been one of those people for me. 

She gets my jokes (and if she doesn't she will laugh any way)!!!

She gangs up on people with me (especially Barrett)

Our babies love each other, and even go to school together.

So needless to say, when i found out she was moving away it was a heartbreaking day for me!

And now I'm getting emotional again so I'm going to cut this blog short.

They say friends are the family your heart chooses, and I'm so happy to have her as a part of my family.

We have had such great times over the last few years. Although you are moving away I'm sure will still have memories and great times for years to come. Thank you for being there whenever I needed you, and for time i didn't know I did.  Love you!

A Day At The Nasher
